This page has been created as a place where participating teachers and librarians can post their book reviews or booktalks. Participants should take a few minutes to learn the conventions of a wiki before posting to this page. Once edited, all pages are open to all members of the YA Book Group. However, this is not a wide open page. Only registered members have access.
Welcome to our YA book group wiki! For those who are new, we represent a cross-section of school librarians (some of us retired) with a special interest in sharing stimulating literature with young people in grades six and up. We meet through-out the school year at one another's libraries to chat about books and literacy. The only "requirement" is that you come prepared to critique 1 or 2 recent titles of interest to the group.
This year we are experimenting with this online shared discussion list. All will be able to post their reviews here, as well as comments and/or pertinent suggestions.

BOOK GROUP November 29, 2006
Today we met at the Algonquin Middle School. Those attending included: Deanna Smith, Nikki Hathaway, Lore Mead, Sheila DiMaggio, Judi Stott, Dianne Hobden, Marion Burghart, Vanessa Woodworth, Cyndi Hoffman, Ann Sayers and Polly Farrington. After Polly did a short demo on the new shared wiki online tool, we discussed a broad range of titles, including graphic novels, and fiction and non-fiction selections.
